I can't say enough good things about my experience with acupuncture! I wish I had chosen acupuncture as my FIRST course of action instead of my last. I broke my lower back when I was 19 and have had chronic pain ever since in all my joints, but especially in my lower back, hips and my feet. When I was 44 I was convinced by my MD to have a lower back fusion. What a mistake! It did not cure any of my chronic pain, but it did limit my mobility considerably. I was to the point of staying inside and being a couch potato, instead of my active lifestyle of gardening, walking, and keeping up with my teenagers. I was taking as much as 2400 mg of Advil per day and I was still in debilitating pain.

As a last resort, I turned to acupuncture. After only 18 treatments, 95% of my pain was completely gone! I don't need ANY pain relievers anymore. Now I have maintenance acupuncture once a week and my pain stays gone. It is different for everyone, of course; some people would not need to maintain as much as I do, but my pain was quite severe. Acupuncture has made all the difference in my life. I am once again able to keep my active lifestyle. My gardens are beautiful, and I swim 3 miles, five days a week! I can't thank Dr. Nigus enough!

I am a 50 year old single mom for my 11 year old son. That is my most important job. I also work three part-time jobs, one of which is a karate instructor. As a second degree black belt, my job can be very physical, but always rewarding. Between my son and my work, I can have aches, stress, and worries, just like everyone else. So, I see Dr. Nigus once a month for adjustments and acupuncture to restore me, and allow me to keep going. When my body feels better, my attitude improves as well. It's a win-win.

I decided to find a chiropractor when my back started bothering me after a long road trip. My previous experiences with chiropractors left me somewhat skeptical, since they didn't listen to me when I told them I didn't like being wrenched and popped like a pretzel. I had my first appointment with Dr. Nigus and have been coming into the office on a regular basis since. Dr. Nigus has thoroughly discussed everything regarding my treatment before he does anything. He also makes sure I understand what he is doing and why. Never once has he surprised me with an adjustment that I wasn't expecting. I tend to manifest my stress in my lower back, but never realized this until I sought out chiropractic care and acupuncture.
